Our Mission

Is there a retail business in your neighborhood that brings a smile to your face whenever you shop there? An old hardware store that's been on main street for ages? A family clothing shop where they know your size when you walk in? A local butcher shop or farm-to-table stand where you know the food hasn't been blasted with chemicals? Wall Street to Main Street allows you to give to local 501 (c) (3) charities by routing your donations through local retailers you know and love. Through our program, you give the money to local shop, the shop owner provides a gift certificate for the charitable recipient for any amount you specify, and the charitable recipient gets an emotional boost from having a little shopping spree on your dime. The business owner racks up a healthy profit to boost his bottom line, the charitable recipient feels like people care, and smile on as the jovial benefactor. Everyone wins, except perhaps, the retail segment of the S&P 500.

A Spark of Inspiration

"Ten years ago, a buddy of mine enrolled me in a charity called Wall Street Warfighters, which introduced military veterans to investment banks in New York City. Part of the program included a little shopping spree at Men's Warehouse in Philadelphia where each of us got outfitted with suits, shirts, and for job interviews. That simple shopping trip was a tremendous morale boost - both for the veterans and for the people working at the clothing store.
