Wall Street to Main Street is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit that allows you to channel charitable gifts to small businesses.Here's a real-life example of what we can do:A donor in suburban Pennsylvania provided free haircuts to homeless guys in Philadelphia by channeling a $1000 gift through Wall Street to Main Street to a barbershop in Germantown.The barber got paid from this donation to give free haircuts to people in need while earning a fair profit for the work as a small business operator.In other words, the donor got a tax break, the barber got paid for doing his normal job, and local men in need got free haircuts to boost their morale.Here's another real-life example:A donor used Wall Street to Main Street to channel a gift to a ministry he supported in the Netherlands. (Yes, the Netherlands. Wall Street to Main Street can support ministries and projects domestically, and also outside the United States.)The Dutch ministry (called Afterbeat) used this money to buy baked goods from a local woman who had been forced to leave her normal job for medical reasons. She wanted to shift career by starting a baking business in her kitchen.The Wall-Street-to-Main-Street donor got a tax break for donating money through our 501 (c) (3), the ministry in Holland got a tithe for overseeing this gift for the woman who wanted to start a baking business, and the woman launched her business with a magnificent run of cakes and pastries.How about you?Is there a business in your neighborhood that you'd like to support while getting a tax break for your efforts?Perhaps you know a young person who needs microfinancing to start a new enterprise. "Ten years ago, a buddy of mine enrolled me in a charity called Wall Street Warfighters, which introduced military veterans to investment banks in New York City. Part of the program included a little shopping spree at Men's Warehouse in Philadelphia where each of us got outfitted with suits, shirts, and for job interviews. That simple shopping trip was a tremendous morale boost - both for the veterans and for the people working at the clothing store. How It Works

  1. Donors contribute to our charitable fund and get a tax credit by doing so

  2. We work with donors to select local businesses they would like to support, or new businesses they'd like to help launch

  3. We identify churches or other 501 (c) (3) charities in that location that can pay the local business for goods and services

  4. Local businesses gain customers while serving their community

  5. Communities become stronger through mutual economic support

  6. Each project is custom designed.
